Insurance and Payment Options

Inspire Behavioral Solutions works with a variety of insurance providers to help families access Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. ABA therapy may be covered by insurance for individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), depending on the specific plan's benefits and coverage requirements.

Inspire is currently in-network with the following insurance providers:

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield

  • Magellan

  • Humana

  • Aetna

  • UnitedHealthcare/Optum

We also offer private-pay options for families who prefer to pay out of pocket or whose insurance coverage does not meet their needs. Because coverage varies by plan, our team will help you understand your benefits and any applicable requirements before services begin.

What to Expect When Starting Services

Step 1: Schedule a Free Intake Meeting

  • Your journey with Inspire begins with a complimentary intake meeting. During this meeting, we will learn more about your child, discuss your family's needs and goals, and explain our services. This gives both your family and our team an opportunity to determine whether Inspire is the right fit.

Step 2: Verify Insurance Benefits

  • If you choose to move forward, our team will review your insurance benefits to determine whether ABA services are covered under your plan and identify any applicable coverage requirements. Benefit verification is intended to help clarify your coverage; it does not guarantee payment or authorization by your insurance provider.

Step 3: Complete an Individualized Assessment

  • Once the necessary insurance requirements have been addressed, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will conduct an individualized assessment of your child. The assessment process is tailored to your child's age, current skills, strengths, and areas of need.

  • Assessments are typically completed over four to five days, with sessions scheduled for a few hours at a time, depending on your child's needs and scheduling availability.

Step 4: Develop Your Child's Treatment Plan

  • Following the assessment, your BCBA will develop an individualized treatment plan based on the assessment results and your child's unique needs. The plan will identify meaningful treatment goals, recommended interventions, and the proposed intensity of services.

  • Your BCBA will review the treatment plan with you so you understand the recommendations and have an opportunity to discuss questions, priorities, and goals for your child.

Step 5: Coordinate Insurance Authorization and Begin Services

  • When required by your insurance plan, the treatment plan will be submitted to the insurance provider for review and authorization. If authorization is required, services will begin once approval has been obtained and the necessary arrangements are in place. If prior authorization is not required, services may begin once all applicable clinical, insurance, and scheduling requirements have been met.

Our team will help guide you through this process and communicate next steps along the way.

Your Child's Clinical Team

Every child at Inspire receives individualized care based on their assessment results, treatment goals, and recommended service hours. The recommended number of ABA therapy hours per week is determined by several factors, including your child's current skills, treatment needs, clinical recommendations, and relevant insurance requirements.

Your child's clinical team typically includes one to two BCBAs and two to four behavior therapists, depending on the recommended number of therapy hours and individual staffing needs. This team-based approach supports clinical oversight, collaboration, and consistency across your child's treatment program.

At Inspire Behavioral Solutions, we value partnership with families and are committed to helping each child build meaningful skills that support greater independence and success in everyday life.
